Well, I'm new and I didn't know I needed the author's authorization, I independently translated a chapter and sent it for review, I would like to know if there is a way I can cancel it even during the review because now I know it's wrong, and I would like to know if I'm going to be banned or something like that.

Not sure where you got that idea, the exemption in the rules about authors/publishers permission is if you were uploading raws or an official translation (like from mangaplus), if we required permission from the rightsholder for scanlations to be uploaded then probably not even 99% of the content on here would've been allowed.

So long as the translation/scanlation is your own (and not basically copied from an official...

So long as the translation/scanlation is your own (and not basically copied from an official version) then most likely you'll be fine, when it comes to us anyway.
