can't upload test chapter

so yeah. there is this nice manga where I wanted to upload a chapter, but this error keep happening. will be resolved itself later? is it normal?

While i can't comment on the error, since other uploads are going through, might've just needed to try a bit later, do note that we do not allow first time uploads to the test manga

I... uploaded in another manga and it worked, so I as you said, it was my first upload and I was trying on test first. Maybe the error was due to that. I think it is worth fixing that so the pop up window say "you can't upload because blah blah." instead of the error message. Anyway, this is solved I guess.

As far as i'm aware such a mechanic has not been added and should just be sent to the approval queue like for any other title, i was just saying that we reject any chapters for the test manga that show up in said queue, and the error in your image looked to be a http 500 error, i.e (typically just) a hiccup on the server side

So that was you meant? So it isn't automatic then. Just to be sure, after I uploaded the chapter, I tried to upload again in the "test manga" and it sent me the same error. So this indicate the problem is with that specially manga.

Hmm, interesting, just tried it myself and didn't encounter a problem, doubt it's the meta data unless you put in some weird stuff that somehow didn't get caught by the frontend.. was it the same image(s) both attempts? and if they weren't the same as the ones in the actual chapter you managed to upload could you try those images instead?

Hmm, interesting, just tried it myself and didn't encounter a problem, doubt it's the meta data unless you put in some weird stuff that somehow didn't get caught by the frontend.. was it the same image(s) both attempts? and if they weren't the same as the ones in the actual chapter you managed to upload could you try those images instead?

Just tried again. Previously I used the same gif, now I tried again just in case (cos the chapter was approved) and got the same error. I also did as you asked and used one of the pages from the approved chapter and it gave me the same error again.

And I tried once again and it gives same error. Ndtm and you tried, and the only difference between us plus the similarity between you are being staff and super moderator. I don't know, but maybe there is a lifted restriction there. btw if you need further proof I can even make a video of me trying to upload it.

Staff don't have any additional rights relating to the actual upload service.

Well, I don't know then. I don't think the site wanted to give that error to me in particular tho. Anyway, isn't that bad, since is not like is necessary to upload in the test manga in the first place.

Hahaha. While writing this I decided to give it ONE LAST TRY! and it passed. what I changed? I previously was writing the number of the chapter at the end with a .7, now I didnt put in dot and was the flat number and passed without issue. So the error was due to the dot even tho it should be allowed.

in My case, there's still at least a whole chapter I can't seem to load ANY (of the 2) images of it...
🤷‍♂️

(But I don't think the Upload is affected by problems on the CDN...)
(The intermittent issue doesn't seem to say what system(s) it affected though...)
