God I hope chapter 3 isn't another card battle. I know this a card game manga, but starting with back to back near full chapter fights is already too much. You have to give us story to be invested in your manga. Just give me three chapters focused on the story and characters then you can go back to plowing through duels.

Shouldn't our MC be losing any chapter now and get sent to the shadow realm, so we can meet our true MC? One little strip of off color hair is not powerful enough hair to be an MC in a card game anime manga.

I feel the issue is this adaptation focused too much in the card game aspect.
The novel was fun because it kept poking fun at the over the top bullshit of an entire universe that even the aliens work around card games. And the thing is since our MC actually uses negation it did some hilarious antics that broke the board of the antagonists that wouldn't happen in an YGO anime. Meanwhile in the manga it focuses on the MC doing a combo to keep constant negations to screw over his opponent.
The manga instead treats the duels as the selling point while in actuality it was the absurdity of the setting itself. It isn't him making a combo to deal with the opponent that made the duel fun, it was the fact he stopped the opponent from playing breaking a trope from YGO.
