It seems like the cards are just snapshots of existing phenomena that exist on separate planets. The people come first and someone just made a card based on them. Elea's a human who lived on a different planet that was ruled by an empire that was sent to MC's world to presumably defeat its champion to take it over. Now Elea lives with the MC in a platonic relationship that may or may not indirectly establish him as the world's strongest to otherworld civilizations.

My guess is that this is Kaiba introduction where this rare card just so happens to be one a new character needs to complete their deck.

as far as i know she can go inside her own card to sleep. And a card person summoning themself just have another hologram like normal cards. she is pretty much human, just a bit stronger physically (and her eysight is good as she is a scout).

After looking through some chapters again I couldn't find that. Might have overlooked that specific chapter or mistaken that part with a chapter of some other novel I read that same day. Removed that part from my comment.
