In a way, it's pretty much an alternative, or early draft for the very end of the Shinemon arc for V-series.
Though, the major difference between here and V-series is that in V-series, Shin is playing his Astral Poets deck, and that Stride technically isn't a mechanic in V-series, but has a sortof equivalent for the deck Chrono uses.
