If I was her I would be pissed. She was asked to a duel, both of them of equal status in terms of skills. The opponent isn't going all out and goes easy. That's disrespectful on its own. To get to that rank, knowing when to take damage to win shouldn't be a shock. He should've known this. Then the sister slaps her. She doesn't know how much of a bitch move that was. All her life winning meant surviving. If she doesn't win then she died. Her sibling try to play down her determination to win.

I mean, she's like partially suicidal. She doesn't care about herself at all. One could argue that she's not right in the head.

A duel and a battle to the death are very different. Your aim in a duel isn't to kill your opponent or die trying, but to win without injury. Technically, she lost the moment she threw herself at him.
