It wasn't removed immediately it remained for like one hour and a little more, OP asked for non political discussion and the first replies were defensive poking fun of how this type of discussion devolved, and then things snowballed fast for the second page, I'm surprised that 1 users wasn't perma-banned and other 2 temp-banned, someone said that OP was baiting but it looked more neutral...

I dunno. I was reading in the living room at 6pm, went for a 10min nap and got knocked out to 12am, and then went to my room, looked for some speedrun to fall asleep to, and then slept from 2am to 5:45am
