Light mode is fine, you just need to reduce the luminosity of your screen for it to not burn your eyes. Dark mode is worst for reading if light is carefully optimised.

I say that but i'm in light mode with my screen at full luminosity...

Hello, guys!! I am once again here with a random fact of the day!!
Did you guys know that the word "Nightmare" ,when originated, did not mean bad dreams?

Back in Old English, “mare” was a mythical evil spirit believed to sit on people’s chests while they slept, suffocating them and giving them terrifying visions!!

These creatures were often linked with sleep paralysis, a condition where people wake up unable to move, often feeling like someone is pressing down on their chest!!

But as time started to pass... people started believing in the folklores lesser and lesser so the supernatural connotations lessened, and it simply came to refer to a frightening or unpleasant dream!!!

Because what's the point? The screen is big and take all your field of vision. Does this comparison make sense to you?

Just compare it to a phone, for example. You don't see any interface when you're reading and on a manga page. What's the point of a black or white interface, then? It doesn't contrast with anything because you don't see it. Same on a pc screen. And that was my point.

You don't read manga on a cinema screen, but if you did, you'd keep the lights on because reading in the dark is straining your eyes, and you should avoid it. So your comparison is irrelevant to the topic. Watching a movie or an anime isn't the same activity as reading. That, you can enjoy it in the dark.

I understand you may like black theme better (or white, I don't care about that), but your argumentation is stupid; you'll excuse me of the term. Since I don't have the knowledge in which the contrast you speak of would indeed appear, I can only think of your argumentation as being stupid, and I'm sorry for that. I don't think you're stupid though, so I'd like to try and understand what you are talking about; maybe it's just a little misunderstanding?
