Freddy fazbear's Pizza has existed as a franchise since the 1950s. It started as a family-owned restaurant featuring two animatronic yet wearable suits. These suits were outfitted with spring lock technology. This would allow the endoskeleton of the animatronic to wrap around a human performer. If exposed to water or other outside contaminants the springs could malfunction. It was not until the 1970s where Edwin and his company introduced more modern animatronics. There is evidence the chica was previously her own franchise. Fazbear acquired the rights to her as many other characters when Edwin himself went insane from the creation of the mimic. His son David was killed by a Freddy fazbear's Pizza Corporate vehicle. The mimic was an adaptive animatronic which took traits from those it observed and was able to pretend to be other people. This was originally used to babysit David. However after David died, the mimic would become gradually more violent but even mimick David himself as well. After a violent incident at the factory, the mimic escaped.

The son of one of the founders nicknamed The crying child suffered the bite of 83. This occurred because his brother Michael who was teasing him placed his head into the jaws of the fredbear animatronic. This resulted in the crying child entering a state of neurotic comatosis. During this state he visualize the events of FNAF 4. At the same time as this occurred, one of the founders had created a secondary business known as baby's party world. The animatronics here had liftable and movable plates along their body. The titular baby would be responsible for the death of the founder's daughter. She would go on to inhabit the suit. This led to the Discovery by the founder of the element known as remnant.

It was also in this first restaurant that five children were murdered. The first was a girl named Charlie. Charlie would proceed to possess the animatronic puppet. In this form she would help the other children achieve their possessions. The original robots were then scrapped. The new robots introduced were known as the toy animatronics. These were outfitted with a special security mode. They could identify criminals and would attempt to protect children. At this location, another biting incident occurs. It is widely speculated that the animatronic known as mangle what's the one behind the bite of '87. This saw Jeremy Fitzgerald the night guard lose his frontal lobe but still survive the bite. It was at this time that the founder's son discovers that he has been turned into a robot and is now functionally immortal. He helps the Ennard, a being made of various parts from animatronics from baby's party world, to escape the restaurant. Oh and as a point of reference, all of those are also possessed.

With the shutdown of the toy animatronic restaurant, a new Freddy fazbear's location would be open. This time the withered animatronics would be revitalized. They were still possessed. Inside of them there were still bodies of children. This led to the restaurant getting shut down, due to claims of bad odor. It would be after the restaurant shuts down that the founder would return to the place where he killed them and dismembered the animatronics. In destroying their bodies, freed their souls. It is notable that the puppet is excluded from this. The spirits of the children and snare William into the springlock Bonnie suit. In which he is killed by The leaky roof of the building. He is eventually found and used as an attraction at fazbear frights. Fazbear frights eventually succumbs to flames. In this fire he become scrap trap. Ennard also breaks up. Baby is separated from the rest of the animatronics. Enard is now known as molten freddy. It is after this incident, where all the animatronics are invited by the son of the founder, to a trap location. This includes the puppet, the founder himself in the scrap trap suit, baby, and molten Freddy. It is in this trap that the loose ends of the founder are finally let free. The founder himself is placed into a purgatory, ran by The remnant souls of Golden Freddy, who refused to let him go. It is many years after this, where Freddy fazbear's Pizza opens a new location. This location is known as the pizza plex. The pizza Plex has many more animatronics than previous locations and is far larger. It is a mall, pretty much.
Before this, Vanessa, a simple night guard, is trapped and mind controlled by a robotic remnant of the Founder, known as Glitchtrap, which turns her into Vanny.
In this location, Gregory, rumored to possibly himself be a robot, sneaks inside and gains the help of Freddy to escape. In the process, he destroys every remaining animatronic and the new franchise goes bankrupt. Vanessa is able to escape mind control, but Glitchtrap still exists.

It is FINALLY over, at least as far as we know, with Cassie entering the abandoned pizza Plex and discovering both the remnant Glitchtrap and the rediscovery of the Mimic, who is revealed to have been the animatronic who pretended to be William in one of the alternative endings for FNAF security breach.

We'll have to see what exactly comes of this.
