Yeah, but to be honest, I don't get why he didn't just tell her the truth. There's no point in hiding it when Suhyeon can tell her the whole thing as a direct witness (and for all Sangwoo knows, he might have already). He could even make her more willing to cooperate by forcing her to accept her father was a piece of shit and a murderer. This aspect of the chapter felt forced. And it can be counterproductive in the future, because if she remains convinced he killed her father but doesn't know he had a damn good reason to, she might try to stab him in the back later.

I don't watch K-dramas, but this is the kind of scene that could earn the actors a prize if they do it well in the upcoming TV adaptation.

At this point, I don't have secondary confirmation, but you can consider it a moderately reliable rumour because it's info added to the MangaUpdates page for this series. MU tends to be reliable for this kind of stuff.
Why bother to lie? She'll never really believe it and it might help slightly if she understands what happened between them. I mean, I guess either way they can never really trust each other. Even though he was an evil son of a b*tch, he was her dad and a lot of people will never forgive that. But I agree it just feels weird and forced as a scene.
