Okay, that was a master stroke. Sangwoo really wrestled victory out of the jaws of defeat.
And the narrative technique was great too. The two camera-like, alternating scenes of Director Ham and Sangwoo walking towards the same place in different moments were simply brilliant, it makes most other webtoonists look like amateurs.
To those interested, I'm almost certain the plans to adapt this to a K-drama have been shelved. I found the announcement in Korean. It was going to be done by TakeOne Studio, but the announcement was made in 2021, when the series was still ongoing in Korea. Since then there have been no news, so I assume the project is frozen or abandoned.
Interestingly, the news piece I read said this series was actually the top one in Daum that year in terms of popularity. So I guess the theme of the poor underdog getting back at scummy oligarchs resonated with many Korean readers. Hell Joseon, indeed, I suppose.
Anyway, looking forward to the next chapter as usual. Wi Sangwoo was still under the effect of TCM when he took another dose in the burial grounds, and now he's gonna take three more on a row. This is gonna be good.
