Maybe the revival undid the brainwashing they were placed in to be devoid of emotions and just follow orders? I do wonder where the revival is coming from since Julian's is based off the souls of those who died.

Exactly what I was about to say, what is he sacrificing then? It's not a simple ability like "you can die 100 times" and that's it. If he copies all the effects he should copy the conditions too

Yeah I fear this is ending one of two ways, either sea mother gets mad at him for stealing her gift, or his brainwashing is undone and they take him in as the next part of their crew
