Denji still figuring out what he wants in life.

I think it is pretty obvious that he craves companionship, sex and whatever sure, but what he really wants is someone who will value him for who he is, not what or what he has, just him.

Sure Nayuta kinda already gives him that, and he knows and appreciates it, but she is kinda an imouto/owner (XD), so the relationship is different, what he needs is someone equal, no bullshit, no caveats... just someone to share life.

I mean, of course it's going to Asa, right? We haven't even seen her since he stopped being CSM. What's she thinking? What does she want? (not Yaru, we know what she wants). And when I ask that about Asa, I don't mean the small HS drama bullshit, but the high level human shit like what you're talking about.

Honestly, the best non-shounen/hs romance manga bullshit that Fujimoto could do would be to make them platonic devil hunting partners. No romance, no sex, no BS. Just two people who understand each other, respect each other, and share life with each other, of course by doing so I'm sure they end up saving the world or some shit, because at the end of the day, it's still a manga.

It's obviously not the same location though. Kobeni's location is a single story building. This new one is on the 4th floor. While it's a 'family' diner, I think it's just more like a McDonald's mixed with a Denny's. It's a family style restaurant, ala that episode of the simpsons where Moe's turns into Moe's Family Feed Bag. It wasn't her actual family there, she just had a part time job to pay the bills since she didn't work with public service anymore.

I remember feeling like Denji. A highschooler without purpose; feeling like you're nothing is taxing, and it can crush you emotionally. I'm sure a lot of dudes had felt the same back then. That panel with Nayuta feels like a moment where he grounds himself back, like many of us when we realize that happiness isn't some grand ambition, just the little things that have been in front of us for the better part of our life. Also, feels like foreshadowing because Denji will never catch a break.

I like how the slowburninig pace gives space for character and relationship development. I just hope Fujimoto doesn't use this to fuck us over like he has in the past
