edit: and even part 1 got a lot worse after the puppet/darkness devil arc.

maybe you just don't get or like CSM because it isn't what you want it to be. The writing in part 2 is great and I can and have justified it before with facts and not opinions--which is the way the premise is structured.


Also the author has a bunch of recurring themes in his mangas, one of them being movies, another is apocalypse, another is brother-demon sister filial love.

Layering and recurring themes doesn't make something god tier. It can still be poorly executed. Also the "maybe you don't like this because it isn't what you want" is a horrible point. I can say "maybe you like this story because you like have horrible taste" and be just as valid. Most people just want a story to be good and/or engaging.

The theme of giving in to your nature even when it's against your best interests is invoking apathy instead of empathy. Who cares who wins or dies at this point? Other stories have actually done regression of characters well. They also have a likable or interesting cast. Even in Goodbye Eri I was still curious to see what these characters were like even with their flaws. They had motivation and goals. Denji has none of that and if he could not care about what's going on, why should I.

I don't care about this guy, I don't even know who that is, or who 90% of those 200 characters that appear out of nowhere sometimes. They look the same, they act the same, they don't have individual characteristics to make them unique and remarkable

The entire cast of part 2 is like 10 characters. Your reading comprehension is essentially grade school level, that's not Fujimoto's fault.

And there's really no need to bore us with that in the comments.

Not trying to convince you of anything. I just have problems with this series. Not that deep. I like some trash sure but it's crazy how defensive you get then feel the need to insult. This is bland and played out. I would love if you could actually tell me how Dandadan is generic though. This is plenty more generic imo.

Also crazy you think I have can talk/give advice to fujimoto. That would be cool 😎 he seems fun to talk to

It's crazy that the series that inspired Fujimoto managed to not only deliver the same exact theme bar for bar, but also managed to showcase far more growth in the span of 6 episodes vs the 3 years of stagnancy CSM has been stuck with. Maybe read a second manga, and stop dick riding CSM.

Out of every character who has died in the story honestly I feel nothing when this guy died I didn't like him. So rip I guess. Anyways hopefully the next chapter I don't know does something which actually gives denji some happiness.

Who am I kidding he'll probably get cut in half again or have to watch someone we actually like get brutally tortured he just can't catch a break no wonder he's slowly becoming apathetic at this point.
