Kind of feels like you're just being an anti-intellectual asshole. Someone points out details in something and you just brush it off as "psh, nah, why'd someone ever research something?" You trying to show off the fact that you don't know this stuff? If so, then I feel kind of sorry for you that that's the best you can come up with.

I'm a translation major and had several phonetics classes over the years, so I do know the basics of phonetics, at least I definitely know them better than the average person. Doesn't mean I'll willfully misunderstand the chapter just so I can give myself an excuse to waffle on about alveolar consonants. There's nothing there, and you're making shit up. But hey, whatever strokes the ole ego.
Fujimoto definitely does research, he also definitely didn't do any here. I am also about as far away as I can I be from an anti-intellectual, so it's not that either. My issue with your comment is simple: it's stupid and up its own ass. Hugs and kisses.

I think this CSM arc is going to work much better after the volumes are released and we'll be able to binge read it

that's how all of Fujimoto's work is, serialization hurts it but he does his best despite that necessary evil
