I feel like much has happened during it but I am not to bright to process it all. Overall the chapter made me feel disgusted with how things have played out. The noblemen white witches enjoying using mind control on black to murder them for their power and now the only one strong enough to resist their charms fell to it.

Makes me wonder if exploring the past really worth it since we already know that even if the white king is genuinely gay for green magician, he'll kill him anyway.

Personally, I think that white and black magic in this setting are two sides of the same coin (that's quite an obvious idea, yeah...). It's like they represent a disrupted natural balance. Maybe more love = white magic, less love = black magic, and both types of magic exists because of the other. What if white mages were the one who caused this disbalance in the first place? They profit from long lifespan and high social standing, whereas black mages have to constantly suffer in one way or another. But black mages, too, enjoy a prolonged lifespan. In any case, something's definitely off in this system. Just some random thoughts.
