three ways this can go I think:
1. whoops, we can’t turn you back after all
2. we can turn you back but it doesn’t stick, and
2a. it’s like a ten minute powerup, here’s a taser i guess
2b. it will last until the exact moment you’re about to attempt to kiss or confess to Julia
2c. it will last until the exact moment you’re about to fight your way past a dozen guys
3. congratulations, you’re a dude again! here’s 3 chapters of having no friends
Per the first law of gender bending, Siti’s here to stay. Per the second law of gender bending, Siti’s gonna like being a girl better eventually. But we’re a good distance off the ending, so we probably need to keep dangling the possibility of return in front of her for a bit longer to keep the plot chugging along. So if Budi’s lonely, it’s not gonna be enough to cause a change of heart yet, but might be some foreshadowing. Also, we gotta get the romance subplot with Julia moving along, and if they’re good pals she probably needs to find out at some point.
So I think we get a couple of chapters of Budi finding that being back isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, not enjoying brawling anymore, failing to connect at all with new friends in class due to being scary, getting rejected by Julia and then turning back in front of her.
