Chapter Progressing Bar :rejected:

Hi, I have thought of this small idea several times, mainly due to some sniping problems that I have encountered in the mangas I read. I want to suggest a chapter progression bar in a simple yet informative way. It's like a 'status' beside a chapter number/name that shows whether the chapter is currently being translated/dropped/yet to be translated.

I still didn't think much about the detail but in my mind I envisioned the chapter's status progression bar to be as simple as possible and just informative enough to let readers know the progres of the chapter's translation. So there will be less complication or possible conflicts.

So it is possible for a manga to have chapter 1-10 already translated with chapter 11 being worked on (the status bar for chap 11 will be 'on progress' or something, although the chapter can't be clicked because there are no images yet) then has a user added chapter 30 with a status bar of 'on progress' too.

(Oh, and chapter that is claimed to be on progress won't appear in the update list in the homepage. Just like that chapter 11 and 30 that I talked about previously)

The ultimate goal is to make the translation of the whole manga faster regardless the many groups/individuals who work on it.

Not entirely sure if it applies here, but here is a staff member's comment on their ideology on a somewhat related feature request

Personally, it just seems like more drama bait than the general guideline going around of "just ask"

Update: there is a new feature of showing the delayed chapter update. The aim is similar to what I want to achieve with this suggestion. Thank you!^^
