@dsigh I think he's simply mimicking what she is doing simply because she's doing it. I'm pretty sure they're both aware that the other knows who they both are. We'll know for certain in the next few chapters, I'm sure.

@Cianna Assuming you're talking about the emperor having a "Mr. Button" condition, then I believe he is simply using magic to change his appearance. Either he is still just as old as he appeared earlier and is pretending to look younger, or he was actually still physically young and had been using magic this entire time to make himself look older. Given that Charlotte was previously blessed by the Fairy King and thus why she didn't look a day over 50 before she "died," then there exists the possibility that the Emperor also received a similar blessing at some point. This is, of course, assuming he didn't figure out how to actually make himself genuinely younger with his own magic. I mean Charlotte did that already, albeit by accident, so why couldn't her disciples also eventually learn how to regress their age?
