Good story with an interesting premise. ML is actually likeable with no hints of yandere or abusive actions that make you wonder why the author made them the ML. He is actually really likeable just like the FL who has an interesting background and is fairly competent in most situations, more so than the ML most of the time. Good read I would recommend it (read up to ch 44)
There are somethings that do drag the story in spots that get annoying. The main issueof finding the murder/reason of the ex-fiance is really streached out. Like to the point there are so many suspects that finding who is at fault and holding them accountable is impossible IMHO.
Like one of the supects is the crown prince and queen, so like if it is them what are you going to do? Start a civil war becauseof a dead woman that the ML didn't even care about till she died.
Which is whole other point the girl dies because the ML actually completely ignored her cause it was a marriage of convenience (and possible trauma from his mother). Like as the FL gathers clues and learns more about the case it just really feels like the ML made no effort what so ever to even get to know the girl before she died. Though the ML is growing and learning now which is awesome but man does not put him in the best light. But the crime itself feels unsolvable since everyone seems to know why she died but is refusing to say for fear of something (probably for their own lives but they use it as a threat so often it feels weird), I'm personally worried the conclusion will be "it was just a suicide" and everyone kind of pushed her to it but it feels like we are only half way through the story at most.
now the FL lead is cool and awesome but you feel at times all this competence that the author gives is striped away to creat a situation where she forgets she is an award winning actor and just needs to bluff her way out of situations. This gets pretty annoying cause one scene she has control over the whole room and the next chapter she can barely keep her cool as she talks to another character.
Still I high recommended serie, the translationis great and the art is nice. The story isn't paced badly at all so it's a great read these are just some of my personalview of the series. 8.5/10
