Glad to see a better translation with better editing, but the image quality is way worse than the other version. Contrast is just way too high, making it lose tons of details.
typesetting and readability wise it's an improvement but you've overleveled the greys out of existence which is a shame
and homeroom teacher would be the better translation.
@subliminal@Mechrast Yeah I only realised I fucked up the contrast levels halfway through when looking at the lost details in Shizuka's hair. I decided to keep it consistent instead but I will be keeping levels in mind for the future.
@chatnoirchatgris
An important thing to learn with editing is to keep everything you can on separate layers, all whiteouts and redraws as separate overlay layers so that you don't modify the base image, it makes it easier to go back and change things quickly and easily.
You can just swap out modified base images if you get better raws or wanted to try some other settings like different levelling or use waifu 2x to reduce a few of the jpeg artifacts
@subliminal yeah it was something I hadn't thought about until I noticed the levels. Funnily enough everything but the redraws are on separate layers but the redraws took the most time. Thanks for the tips.
