Probably something along the lines of there not being sufficient justification for the tag being added yet. That said, if the report was denied (and you can check this in the reports section of your profile, it'll be indicated by the report being marked with red), and you don't know why, you can always go on the MangaDex Discord and ask why in the support channel.

Edit: Also, I should probably mention that the series could still get the Romance, Harem, and Erotica tags even if every girl died in the end. The two things are rather unrelated.
