@Askorti again, you don't understand. she is doubting because takase IS a man and still new in environment at that. that's how it works in conservative society. where the prejudice and social rule is strong. the fact that she listening first and try to talking it first is already way better than what usually happened.

and again, you don't even try understanding the cultural background and portray her as evil simply because she do what the social norm she live in. look, even takase take it as normal and still adore her. why you take it very personally when even the character it self isn't?

the fact you still try to argue about "muh free time" showing how low you understand collectivism mentality the east have. we are talking about society when an after works party is a compulsion so employers can deepen each other relationship as a comrade. NOT interfering private time is what wrong for them. you will be surprised how personal japan society can demand you to do. and japan actually kind of mellowed a lot now day, at least compare their neighboring country, or back in the 70's.

@kuma It would seem you misunderstand the point I'm actually making here. What I'm pointing out is the obvious discrimination aimed at Takase because he's a man. He's assumed to be in the wrong for no fault of his own and without any evidence for reason no other than being a man. Culture is completely irrelevant to the presence or absence of discrimination. Just because in their culture this is "normal" does not make it in any way objectively OK.

@Askorti again, in Japanese conservative cultural context, that's what the society role expected to you. it's not being objective, it's understanding background and context. your objectivity has no place here because your morality is not scientifically superior to determined japanese social value is wrong. is it discrimination? it is discrimination if that give unequal opportunity and treatment. but in japanese society, it's not about discrimination and equality, but social order and stability. male has role to hold him self while the female has role to keep herself safe. both takase clearly not holding himself, nor komai not realize to take care her self created suspicionsness. hence why rinko doubt them especially to the one she less know about, takase, as new guy. again, rinko act really nice to other guy because she know he is misunderstood. and again, she act normally with takase as long not about komai.

notice she want to help takase so he wouldn't have to advertise during rain.
