This is what I fear in romance manga. Once you started falling in love with someone, can't stop paying attention to that person. It brings a huge impact to your studies, and possibly make you repeat a year. If anything, none of the two are at fault but rather that girl at the very first chapter. It's her fault that she asked them "why don't they just start dating?". It's such a very bad timing when the two just got good reputations until that one annoying question. Just leave them alone, let them study, stop forcing them to engage.
