Can't go too far with the vore fetish.
Agree. But not Chieri, unless she is 80 meters tall. It would have to be Neiro Nanami. In fact she should do a lot of things with Yumeji.

Scenario: Neiro Nanami lets Yumeji know that she enjoys spending time with him, looking for that cat, the beach, the festival. So, she would like to get to know him better. So, she would like to have dinner with Ymeji, which Ymeji accepts. At this point in time, Neiro Nanami reveals that the dinner is at her place, so Yumeji can't refuse.

Yumeji arrives, Neiro Nanami with her hair out, and a more sofisticated outfit (gasp!), let's him in, and ... locks the door behind him. Neiro Nanami kisses Yumeji, and then takes his clothes off. Licking her lips she thanks him for playing such a central part of her ... dinner.

I don't know, too complicated? Too contrived?

This chapter was just weird. Why did they even go under the kotatsu in the first place? What did they expect to happen?

So what’s the Joke with Cheri constantly hurting the MC?

Is it just “pow, right in the kisser” Honeymooners Kinda humour? If it didn’t happen every single issue, you could play it off. But she hurts him every single chapter and he isn’t an M who enjoys it.

Is it “pulling the hair of the girl you like” but it’s a big girl hurting a small guy? Is that the joke?
The ease with which Chieri can hurt Yumeji, even by accident (and it genuinely seems to be accidental about as often as it is not), serves to highlight just how much stronger she is than Yumeji, and that powerful vs. powerless dynamic is a big part of the draw for a lot of people who are into giantesses. Combine that with the aforementioned "the guy always gets blamed and punished for anything perverted that happens, even if it wasn't his fault" trope that's a common cliche in suggestive romcoms across the board, and you get what you see here.

In general, I've been finding this story to be quite a cliche storm - almost everything that happens makes me think "This is just something I've seen at least a dozen times before but with a giantess twist." And there's nothing particularly wrong with that, especially since giantesses outside of outright porn are so rare, and giantesses in fluffy, low-stakes comedy even rarer, so "completely generic shonen romcom but with giantesses" is itself a pretty novel concept, but I feel like it's setting itself up to be blown out of the water in a couple years by something that's willing to be just a bit more ambitious with its premise and/or characterization, at which point Chieri will be mostly remembered as the series that "walked so that ____ could run".

if chieri is hurting him, he'll end up in the hospital with broken bones. it's just the way the author is expressing the character's emotions. same goes for tsunderes. some people always took things too seriously
