Convenience aside surprised they wouldn't have their own bank accounts and stuff i imagine some teens still pay with physical money but i've seen middle schoolers at the local 711 use their phone to scan getting snacks lol

Isn't Japan still pretty heavily relying on cash? There are countries like that. Personally, it worries me how much we are going toward electronic money only, but at least for the time being over here the EU doesn't allow entirely getting rid of cash, as much as some factions would love it to boost their profits, among other things.

LOL yeah but either way with that many siblings i'd keep my cash either hidden or on me at all times. tho would be sucky other than the kids working part time for parents not having enough to give ppl an equal share for allowance

Hard to imagine they wouldn't have bank accounts, even if they weren't paying by card or mobile. However, if they usually use cash to pay, it makes sense to have some of it stored away and not carry it all all the time to school. If too much cash accumulates, then they can go and deposit it. It just seems strange to me you'd need to worry about your siblings stealing your money. Pretty rough survival of the fittest.
