Here we go! I've been waiting for this! Every chapter, every integral moment of this manga, Chihaya ties the memory to specific cards, since the beginning. Now it all comes to play. They elude the cards' readings to colors, images, historical figures, etc. all series long. But for Chihaya, practically every card is now deeply connected to something that was a part of her life. A name of a teammate, an interaction, one of the many crossroads during her development, memories with Taichi and Arata, decisive matches in her competitive career, and that depth of connection is what I think will win out against Shinobu's.
