Not sure if this is only me but this girl and the girl from "The danger in my heart" in the early chapters give me the same unpleasant feeling, I can't really say why but I have a feel theories:

1. They are both kind of forceful at pushing the MC, like I know that they're doing that from the good of their hearts but I can't help getting a bit angry-ish? Everytime they do that.
2. I might just be wrong about this one but to me, I feel that both of them don't regard much for the MCs' feeling and instead just dragging the MCs along to their own feelings. The FMC from "The danger in my heart" does finally recognise MC's feeling and considers his feeling before she does something later on, and that is when I can finally enjoy the manga without having a slight bitter taste in my mouth.
3. This one is almost the same with the previous point but I keep feeling that they always see themselves as correct and don't realise until much later on that something they did might have unknowingly hurt the MCs.

This is just my personal opinions though, I have a few more points but they're kinda hard to describe so I won't list them, tell me what you think of my opinions and do you feel similiar or different.

Edit: To make things clear so that no one misunderstand, there are things that I don't like about MCs of both series too, it's just that other than being too hard-headed, the other points that I don't like about them is not as much as there are with the FMCs of both series.

I'm not sure what this story wants to be.

It keeps skipping over key scenes and then we have to see the characters talk about stuff we didn't get to see.

Does it want to be an actual sports manga or a romance manga?

Cause both of these things keep getting key moments cut out.

I’m hoping that the author just isn’t sure which of the two they want to focus on yet and will make a decision soon, but who knows.

There’s no way the girl didn’t realize she was being misleading by saying “party” when it would only be the two of them. I really can’t get a handle on her and not in a good way. She either genuinely likes him and just doesn’t show it at all (like not even for readers to pick up) or is actively leading him on to obtain some unknown goal.

I’m also not sure I act how and why the MC is changing. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to put in effort to obtain seemingly impossible goals and dreams you’ve had since childhood. However, there also isn’t anything wrong with focusing first on having fun and being safe. It also isn’t bad for the MC to shift goals from having to be the one playing volleyball to heaps of flame to becoming the best coach, manager, or otherwise some indirect role in helping his team to achieve their best results and for everyone ro have fun and enjoy playing while being safe. I’m only making this distinction because I can’t fully get behind the MC seemingly only changing because of an inferiority complex when comparing himself to a girl he only started to like because she called him out. Its a terrible reason for him to shift the goal and environment for all the boys on the team without consulting them. Also going back to my first point its very questionable if she’s just leading him on (like is she personally trying to make him feel inferior just to get the boys team to do more? I’d really like a chapter in her POV).

What a shitty watch "party" lol, literally only two people, at that point why'd she call it a party if she didn't invite anyone else.
