tl;dr This story has a really good prologue, yes its long but this is to establish the setting and circumstances, so that the reader can better understand the motivations and learn the history of the main character.

This strong and most importantly entertaining prologue is a good indicator that the author really is trying to sell this world and its story to the readers. Furthermore, its not too often that a story comes out the gate this determined and even more so with a prologue this in depth; usually with webtoons/manga in general the prologue is just a couple of images with basic dialogue that loosely describes the setting and rushes through the characters motivation. While this is a completely valid opening for a story, it fails to hook the reader and it makes the world its set in seem just like a corporate preset. While anyone could argue that this setting is just as standard as any other fantasy setting what Children of the Rune has going for it is again its strong opening, an opening that does more than enough and has firmly establish its characters in the mind of the readers.
