This might me blasphemous for me to say, but the theme of clinging to distorted notions of reality from your childhood faintly reminds me of Oyasumi Punpun, if Oyasumi Punpun had all of the finnesse and nuance drained out of it like blood out of the corpses in this b-movie horror of a manga.

soooo it's kinda fucked up how tooru got to leave his childhood behind and become 'normal' and didnt have to suffer. can we just blame tooru? all of this wouldn't have happened if tooru didnt go to the daycare in the first place.
