i would think after ten years the pic would age/be diff but i guess after a certain point unless you have extreme life changes 10 years from like 30 to 40 wouldn't be as big of a change as like 14 to 24

39 to 16 a person is also unrecognizable except for his nose.

well, yeah teenager to adult hood is quite diff, surgery aside tho i think sometimes you can sorta see /tell if you've known someone for a long time. although maturity/mentally i'm sure there are ppl pushing 40-50 that still act like middle schoolers

tho i imagine with relatives you'd also notice some body language/habits/etc

Yeah tho at the same time I think ten years is a long time to change esp in another country

Tho in school I had a "bad" habit of cleaning my glasses/wiping on my shirt even if they weren't dirty and one time someone pointed it out and it ended up making me do it more

(wouldn't rly call it ocd but I do have to consciously try to avoid it sometimes, sometimes I've reached to do it even on times I'm not wearing it)
