Now you're moving goal posts.
I never said the subjects in question were the primary focus (although they do get a spotlight in specific chapters), just that they are very clearly present themes that are taken seriously (because they remain consistent and are addressed directly) and that the story overall is supportive of gender-non-conformity.

Engaging with the messages of a comedy doesn't make the comedy any less relevant or funny. So much comedy out there has underlying messages, and this is just one of those. It's funny and silly, but it is also overall sex positive, and that's cool. What's so wrong with saying that? Does it somehow nullify the entertainment value the story has?

I feel like you're trying to say this is just a silly comedy with nothing going on because you're so entrenched in escapism that all works of fiction to you must be devoid of any real word subjects (ignoring the fact that stories are written by real people with thoughts, not mindless robots, so they inherently can't 100% get rid of the author's subjectivity, and they also exist in the sociocultural context they were written in and are thus molded by it in some way). Or perhaps you're just one of those people who think anything besides heteronormativity is political and/or scary?

Either way, I'm not sure why you're so hung up on this when what I've said in no way diminishes the value you can get out of this work. If you really think this is that soulless and has no message then you do you, but I personally like to see the care and thought that was put into this story, to take the author as a person with thoughts and emotions he wants to express, and to believe the words laid on the pages mean real things and aren't just throwaway gags all the time, because so far that's how it has presented itself to me. They make the work better, not worse.
Fine. Let's deconstruct. If a few degenerates force their fetish on an unsuspecting populace against their will they cause an explosion in the number of sex/masturbation crazed degenerates directly (Herma) and indirectly (Psallus), to the extent that the amount of rapists increase. A whole village populated by rapists and a town run by a serial rapist using rape as punishment to get her way, proving that breaking down sexual/gender norms causes society to inch closer to degenercy and sexual assault.

Everything I said here is EXACTLY what happens in this manga and if it wasn't for the people who want to take society back it would be worse.

You know I kinda agree with the Reversal fairy's opinion... Its enjoyable seeing the process of transforming into another gender, not just on the physical but on the mental too

I don't know what you're trying to say with this. You just wrote the plot down without actually putting in any analysis. Are you saying that the author believes in all of the good AND the bad that they write? Or is that, that's what YOU would believe would happen if girls started to get a bunch of dicks? You're missing a lot of context on how and why those people acted the way that they did and are missing others who didn't act like them but were changed by the dick devil.

That's the analysis. The plot makes an unlike point. Degenerates with power forcing their fetish on society degenerates society into rape and degenerecy. Pointing out 2 people trying to fix it being some of the only normal people in the story isn't context, it's blinders.

I'M NOT saying the author believes this or that, I'm saying this is a comedy manga based on common japanese porn tags and we shouldn't be looking that deeply into it.

That's clever, ignoring that the other person were talking about what the MCs where saying the last two chapters about gender construction & objectification to only focus on the 'bad guys' opinion to discredit the overall message. I wonder how you're feeling about books like 1984, where the message comes from like only one person, is it blinders ?

But anyway, thanks for the translation, we'll wait for the other chapter to discuss it. :wowee:

Let's ignore the fact this world is like this because people unconsentually forced their fetish on people, let's ignore the fact that because of it we have a village run by rapists and a town run by one woman raping people as punishment for defying her, let's ignore the fact a devout member of the clergy has degenerated into a masturbation freak. A good guy said good guy things so it's a "woke" deconstruction of gender norms.

A man saying that he loves a woman even if she grew a dick and will help her get rid of it getting gaslit by fetishist freaks that maybe he'd like the girlfriend isn't "woke", it's the author giving their character a dilemma for drama to propel the story.

First it was "nothing worth seeing in a gag manga", after it was "the message doesn't count because it's a comedy", after that it was "the message doesn't matter because the events are invalidating it" and now it "it's just drama (while wrongly describing the 'drama')".

The message isn't even deep, you can spare one minutes of your life to understand it, it's no big deal.

Hit me up on when you're done brainstorming.

I don't think anyone thinks this story is too "deep". They're saying the message out loud. What's deep is that Herma may like to touch herself too much but she doesn't force that on to others like some of our anthologist. What's nuanced is that Cybele also doesn't like to force things on to others but her selfishness is in conflict with our heroes. We've meet just as many characters that want to change back just like An or are unbothered and keep doing what they're doing. People doing wrong doesn't invalidate anything. It being a comedy doesn't invalidate its message. Comedy is one of the most direct forms or getting a message across by turning a serious topic into a joke. It gets you to relate through humor. Its just as thoughtful as any other form of expression.

Manga not only woke but based for shitting on genderswap manga for leaning on the tired ass trope that switching your sex somehow makes you conform to gender norms. I HATE that shit and I'm glad we're saying it out loud lol.
