@Tearsax based on the covers of the LN i saw in Twitter last year, I don't think so as the covers shifted to different girls, but I may be wrong here as I haven't actually read the LN or was able to see a strong influence of the blonde girl as the main romantic interest from this manga chapter alone

@Tearsax : not yet. So far, Yua and Yuuko hasn’t got their character focused volume yet. Volume 1’s main heroine is Kenta (author said it himself), although we got a look at Yuuko’s character. Volume 2 focus on Yuzuki. Volume 3 focus on Asuka. And volume 4 focus on Haru.

Yuuko claim herself as the wife (since people are calling her that, and Yua as the mistress). But they’re not dating. A piece of info from volume 4
Yuuko knows she only push her love one-sidedly. She said she loves Saku, but ask him to not give an answer until she can make a proper confession. Instead she wants to get along as friends. From Saku’s side, he also gets along well as friend with Yuuko so he doesn’t try to get away from her (she might looks like airhead, but is actually perceptive and holds her principle). Oh, and both Yua and Yuuko likes Saku because he doesn’t treat them carefully/seriously.
From vol 2
Saku doesn’t want to hastily decide his affection to any of the girls as “love”. He wants to take his time to understand all of it before giving that name.

Personal opinion about the girls...
In general, the girls see Saku as their hero, someone they can look up to. The hero living in idealism and passion, showing them a model, inspiration, and tell them their decision to struggle in life is not wrong and wont go in vain. Imagine the shonen heroes, who are hot-blooded and doesn’t give a damn about being realist.

Ah, the profile pic is from Assassins Pride.

I might have jumped to conclusions too quickly, but in those kind of series (romcoms without one clear FMC, that are either love triangles or harems), usually (actually too usually for my taste) the "winning girl" is the first to appear in a cover alone. And also usually (actually too usually for my taste too) those "winning girls" arent: blond, wear glasses, the girl with biggest boobs, the most loli looking girl, etc.
Specially in love triangles (like this one felt from its first chapter with Yua and Yuuko). If one of the girls is black haired and the other no, 99,99% of the times the winning girl is gonna be the black haired. Thats why i was SO surprised to see the blond girl alone on the first cover, because for a moment i thought this could be one of those remaining 0,01%.

Feels like a good looking Hachiman blended with Hayama's personality. Kinda irritated with Hayama but this manga seems promising.
Plot: 6.5/10 -might change depending on the progress
Illustration: 7/10
Might as well drop a dime on its light/web novel.

@Tearsax : they are all so endearing. Those who comment the girls are forgettable need to wait, although it would be a long wait.

Sorry for the many spoilers -_-
Personal view about the girls (currently halfway through volume 4)
Yuuko (wife) is... Saku describe her as a natural-born princess. She purely believes in what she think is right and push through with her ideals without hesitation. She looks like an airhead, but can confidently says out her opinion. Also, just like the others, under their facade, they are actually attentive about their friends and people they interact with.
Saku is alright with people seeing him as playboy because it make girls less likely to approach him for romance. It also gives the girl better excuse to go on rather than live the embarrassment (such as "know your place, you're not good enough for his level") if their confession is rejected; their peer will just see her as another victim of the shitty manwhore. Yet, Saku lets Yuuko stay close as friend for long time rather than trying to cut off the ties like with other girls trying to approach him for romantic relationship.
An ominous conflict hint dropped is, Kaito also loves her, and Saku already noticed it.

Yua (mistress) is, still need more information. She is the ria-juu type who breaks into the upper caste through effort to polish herself and socialize. Compared to the other girls, she is much more reserved. We still don't get her full back story yet, but hints so far is Saku pulled her out into the light. Personally, I think she is also still holds on to Saku, but would grow out of it to stand on her own, before finally seriously attack, or become independent.

Yuzuki (ex-girlfriend), sees Saku like a mirror of herself. They are both people born with natural talents to stand out above their peers, but still spend a great deal of effort to become their perfect self, as an impenetrable fortress to defend themselves from others who are jealously waiting for their downfall. At the same time, they think of themselves as too similar and thus draw a line. Notice that Yuzuki and Saku call each others by family name, while Saku calls the other girls with their first name. She's also the most comfortable about throwing sensual jokes at him, but somehow it just serve to make them remember to maintain their comfortable distance rather than losing control.

Haru (catchball buddy) is the other way around. She is like the hot-blooded side of Saku, who keep struggling and keep the fire of passion burning in her heart. For her, Saku is the moon to her sun, showing her confirmation that the way she live her life is not wrong, that it's not time for her to give up and let the fire in her heart die yet. Oh, and she's the editor's favourite.

Asuka (childhood friend + fiance), sees Saku as her light who guide her out to the world she never knew existed before. Because of it, she wants to play as his perfect "mysterious lady" to shine a light in his darkest hours.

BTW, character design is by Raemz, whose better known work in the west is probably as one of the illustrator for Katawa Shoujo.

The tags said it's 'harem', but I really don't believe it especially after reading the description of each 'harem member'. I'm sure it will end with one girl only and 90% that girl is Yua. Too predictable and the 'harem' obviously fake. Honestly, it's hard to say this is 'harem' when it's only 2 girls that actually like him while the other just maintaining distance or admiring the MC.

@Noway30 : it's probably just because of how I presented it.
And those are just their description before character development arc.
Yua is simply, one of the main girls with least information revealed so far.

I think the best part of the series is the 生き様, the way of life the characters choose and how they proudly struggle in it.
It's stuffed full of that passion of youth.
With that, I could even be satisfied if in the end, they all graduated, going their own ways, and keep their memories as precious jewel inside their heart.

But for the love, when it gets to the part describing the girls feeling for him, they really do love him.
and it feels like we'd want to yell for them from seeing all the feeling they keep and how they face it seriously.

Those tags are user added anyway.

...I feel like getting too fired up with writing these.
Already got called passionate talking about this series in Reddit before.

@Tearsax

I recommend you to read more to expand your database to see that what you're saying is usually the cliche used in the past but is now used as plot twists like a certain manga I know(gotoubun). I recommend READING You-Zitsu (classroom of the elite) to remove that stigma. I also recommend reading Hataraku Maou to show you that it depends on the plot to see which girl is best and not just base on the character designs and covers. I recommend reading them though, the LNs, not the manga so if you don't read LNs well too bad.

@uishauvei The first thing that comes to mind whenever someone tells me i should read more is that there is a VERY high probability that i was already reading manga before they even learnt to read.

Another trash manga to add to the archives.

Besides that this ain't no work of art, I want some trash to fill in the spare hours I've got and this fills in the 60pages per min I gotta cover
