Karma's a bitch.

If you become Evil like the Evil that harmed you, can't complain if a greater force comes to take care of you, too.
I was worried MC going on a killing spree someone should stop him, but seeing what happened to those women, what a bunch of liars and scum, I say target the next bandits

mental gymnastic of trying to guilt trip mc, the last page is enough to get them all killed
the moment my mind register people as enemies, there's no more talking needed, only bloodshed
Yeah after seeing them at the end of the chapter I was like good on him for showing them no forgiveness even though he didn't know they had done that and I was just starting to feel bad for them. No these evil people got what was coming to them

The problem with the bandits is they chose random unrelated people instead of going after the cause. Since they created a cycle, you can't blame somebody who "broke it" by going after the cause instead of just deciding they can do the same now because they had a bad day

Kind of pitied the old guy that first appeared in the previous chapter. But after seeing the last page, any pity for those bandits went out the window. Kill them all, nothing of worth is lost and all is fair.

Easy thing to say as peanut gallery, harder to do in reality
"Hitler was once an innocent baby"
He has a point but bro can't complain when he is raping and killing people with glee, and not even particularly rushing to take care of a danger he knew was there(which is a failure as a leader, regardless of morality
"sure, we're rapists and murders, but it's societies fault, what were we supposed to do,be productive members of society?"
Hilarious shit too. They don't got the strength to plow the fields or be soldiers but they got the strength to steal, kill and rape people for profit? Bro should be a comedian
Very standard guilty trip tactics ...that stupid word somehow can actually work with 99% good type MC
Thing is even when it's a lie and it's a pure type mc, minimizing his deed ain't it
They were good men, they only become bandit because bla bla bla,...
So you can't really blame them for raping your wife and trying to kill you, please understand, bro.

Fuxk this guy.

Also, I like that MC never forget to loot.
idk why he even thought that would work tbh. Pure hearted slaughters can't be that common can they
At the cost of being accused of moral relativism... I believe any society should be judged by how it treats those at the bottom, including bandits.

Should they punished? Yes. How much?... I fear it depends on the ability of their system to rehabilitate them. If, like in this case, the feudalistic system does not have the resources to prevent normal people from becoming bandits in the first place, the only rational solution is to kill them.

A country should strive to improve their ethical framework at the core of their society... but using a level of morality beyond what said society is prepared for is meaningless (as we are reminded every time a country is "liberated" and becomes a worse place afterwards).
Explanation absolutely matters, but that sob story only should matter if they had any intention of repenting or trying to make up for their deeds. not that mc cares, but even if mc was a kinder person, his speech was just throwing any excuses at the wind

I was starting to think, OK this bandits are not full on evil, but last the scene killed any pity I was starting to get for them
I bet moonlight sword dude was a washed up noble himself
Call me crazy, but I think more sex they don't have a say in is the last thing those women need.

Not that it would stop this MC, lol.
eh he is depraved but not that kind of depraved
Yeah, I can understand stealing and even ending up hurting other people to survive. When you and your people are starting to starve, suffer malnourishment... yeah, your not gonna be an upstanding citizen, cuz the city/society already threw you to the wolfs at this point.

But holy shit. Rape? "Every man needs a woman, and you can only take by force"? What the fuck is this logic. Go do your friend dude, if you're that desperate. That's the most cringe inducing argument I've ever seen. That's what imperialist terrorists do (like japan did to china btw). There is no excuse for this bullshit. Besides, the mc did not have any resources worth stealing, it was gratuitous.

I'm super not a fan of setting (isekai or otherwise) that is like super rape-centric, and was hoping this wasn't one of them despite some first chapters tendencies. These bandits are goblin slayer levels of shit now, geez.
I was super expecting the last pages, when mc finds there are more people, to be like children of the bandits or something, but naw, they are full force slavers.
To be a shitty devil advocate, rape used not to be seen as such a big deal depending on the society. Even the maids and serena suggest slavery quite casually(even if they don't act on it, that's probably only because mc didn't accept). So i can see in the bandit mind it would not even register as his worst crime.
MC has the maturity level of a 13 yo but was somehow functioning as an adult enough to maintain a proper job. I think the author has the maturity level of a 13 yo and can't write what a 30+ yo man who has ground himself to dust in the work environment thinks like.
I don't think it's really a matter of author incomprehension. Not that i m claiming it's a masterpiece writing but i do think him being off is somewhat intended. though it is jarring and i doubt it will be that explored
