That's fair but he himself thinks if she didn't there he would have been in trouble(granted may just be his rose tinted glasses/ignorant ass talking, but he also gained quite a few levels mowing them down here so he isn't exactly the same as the last night)

In this chapter he got pinned by spears and tbh if they hurried it up and beheaded him before he got up that might have done the trick.

Though in the end i m probably splitting hair on nothing when the explanation that she underestimated his regen/defense and simply didn't want him to be hurt since she loves him is both simpler and makes the most sense

as for mc, he is also kind of stupid and doesn't properly know his own strengh, when those bandits got him with the spears, i don't them, any normal human would die from that so it's understandable why they didn't follow up with anything else
