Anyone else notice how the tone shifted after he left the dungeon? Not the art, but how the world interacts with the MC. They often belittled him and that felt like the main theme from the start and now it just seems like an undertone that's rarely mentioned. I had expected the others to slowly change their opinion of him, even fearing him because of their prejudice, but now it just feels rushed power fantasy.

From LN to manga is always disheartening. Although I know the entire plot and art; it's sad to see the bastardization of art.

So the first 9 chapters were pretty nice. First 2 were kinda generic bullied loser protag set up, perhaps a bit more extreme than normal but following the basic beats. Chapter 3 gives the first real taste of what's happening, we can see gore, darkness, and the start of the MC's growth and mental breakdown due to isolation. The art goes from grim but kinda wonky, to surreal and gritty now that it's in the dungeon and has monsters and horror to illustrate. You start getting a lot of nice shots, good detail, interesting angles, and lots of emphasis on expressions and some visual humor or story telling. Kinda reminds me of that one handyman isekai. 9.5 is the last really good chapter, we get a look at Faf, we get teased with a backstory, see her own issues, and get to see that the passage of time is wearing down on the man as he's no longer even able to enjoy the grind of getting stronger to achieve goals anymore.

Then chapter 10 hits, the art shifts, it time skips to them escaping, drops all the intrigue and suspense of the dungeon journey and drops them all back into the previous less interesting world with none of the charm of the previous book and the tone completely destroyed. No more good visuals, no more of the way the shots could convey intent for a scene without words, none of that subtle dark grittiness. Just generic loser becomes op slop. There's a slight aftertaste of what came before if you continue past it but honestly if it doesn't update past chapter 20 I don't think I'll mind.

this reminds me of those videos on youtube with loquendo narrating how Goku is betrayed and gets trapped in the time chamber for a millennia or more and when he exits with a harem of the author's OC or any girl in general and begins to kill everything on his path getting "revenge" in the most edgy way possible, in short, it's really bad and edgy... sure, after a lot of time training or doing something in general you become confident on what you do but getting depression because you one hit monsters is edgy asf bro, Saitama does the same but he isn't depressed, he's just like, "damn" yk? but that chapter where the dragon sobs bc his master is looking at the horizon sad because he one hits... kinda cringe tbh.
and then art changes and changes the edgy tone for a "i reincarnated and now i'm the strongest" mood, where every character becomes even more 2 dimensional, like wtf is wrong with the extras trying to kill someone who defeated a Sword Emperor?

If you like getting hype and loving how the manga build ups and grows on you (even the artstyle, like by chapter 3 you like how unique it is, its like fitting it conveys the feeling so well)... then getting incredibly disapointed because the people behind it are dumbfucks : this is the one for you.
But it has nice 9.5 chapters. You could also imagine that the 9.5th chapter is the actual END, and the rest of the story is left to your imagination.
Or you can be brave and open the toilet seat to reveal the shit hiding from ch.10 onwards.
