Dang the Japanese empire was more expansive than I remember.

Also with this being Odessa, I wonder how this will go. IRL it got taken by the Ukrainian People's Republic through most of 1918, a specific Odessa Soviet Republic in early 1918, the Second Hetmanate (anti Bolshevik) in the rest of 1918, taken by the Whites for early 1919, then another Bolshevik provisional government for a few months til August, Whites again for the rest of 1919 and into 1920, and then the Bolsheviks again for most of 1920 through the end. Along with this the Makhnovists (blessed) are just to the east for a fair bit of that. The first chapter is a scene in the Red Square in Moscow, and she clearly hates both the Reds and the Whites. With Elena being at least some level of noble, it seems likely the Bolsheviks killed her and she's getting revenge for that, but doesn't align with the Empire either.
