@daime17 bro i agree with you its just something it does, even our top scientists in the field are stumped by it aswell more research data is needed before further information can be available

The fact that the author chose sulfonamides while having Ringo's level of tech is laughable

Back in chapter 12 she healed a disemboweled guy in a few minutes and now she said she cant cure a sick kid.
Aint this too late to apply medical logic to this manga at this point?

To save a child with an operation is easier than to cure a sickness when you don't have the medicine.
The one is a matter of skill the other a mater of resourcess. Something along this lines of thought most likely.?

How unrealistic it is when she fixed a guy with a heavy wound like exposed intestines via disemboweled in a matter of MINUTES.
It's just too funny now that her unrealistic medical skill vanished in this case of sick child because author tried to apply logic.
Like i said aint that too late to apply logic at this point?
May as well use her superpower skill to create panacea to cure the child instead.

Injuries caused by trauma is vastly different from infection by foreign entities. Hence the medical field is so diverse.

The author did not make her out to be a god of healing that only needs to cast heal. She literally has to have the equipment and drugs necessary to combat the problem.

@Victormg :
did you forget each of them have SUPER-HUMAN ability ?
also she already have knowledge, equipment and material ...
that pretty much can create anything ...

also as you can see, their super-human ability is powerful enough to be count in as cheat ... ?

That's the point
The author made her ability to be cheat-like then what the point of this late to make it seem difficulty to cure the child? It's too late to explain that her abilily isnt cheat at this point.
Lazy way of creating drama

It makes me just a little sad that we're at such a level of acceptance that nobody's even noticing that every villain this author writes is somehow worse than the last.

Not even a tiny thing I can empathize with. It's just 100% asshole flowing through this guy's veins. I don't even know what else to say in the face of a chapter like this.

@Victormg:
I have to agree with the comments opposing your opinion.
She heals WOUNDS that can be treated by PHYSICAL treatment directly.
It is quite extreme but still just physical treatment.
So it is a matter of anatomic knowledge, neccessary tools (sharp surgical knive, etc.) and practical skills.
She does have all that.
Hence she can heal those wounds.

But in order to treat illnesses you need to have the correct medicine.
To get the correct medicine you need the raw materials in enough volume, the knowledge to create the medicine from the raw materials, the tools to create the medicine and the time to create it.
She is missing the raw materials in sufficient amounts right now for most medicines.
Hence she cannot cure the girl right away.

Also if it is an illness that has no known cure then she cannot treat it either until she has the time, raw materials and tools to experiment on some samples to find a cure first.

What I find important is the fact that the author completely leaves out that tar contains compounds that increase the risk of developing cancer.
After all there is a reason that treatment using tar has been mostly abandoned.
