I think it's one of the best developments we could've had, given how it clarifies and answers a lot about Batista and his goal, the nature of X and its power, and the high possibility of some fan theories about potential alternate timelines being confirmed. I'm only somewhat concerned about the latter, because time travel devices (yeah, I know—it’s not really time travel) and similar concepts are easy to mess up. I've seen it happen in other works, where one misstep ended up derailing the entire story. Considering how carefully the author plans the story and takes his time with it, I’m confident it’ll all come together nicelyngl i don't like this development. getting back will require even more bs or maybe they can't get back at all and in that case how will the story progress? we'll see but i'm worried this is gonna take a turn for the worse now.
About 'how they will get back; I think there are a few options to work with. For one, Zora’s death will most likely weaken Batista, as this chapter confirmed they’re still mentally linked. Another possibility is that the remaining Choujin i.e. Azuma, Sato, Sword Choujin, etc. could interfere and help those trapped inside.
