Nah, Nue didn't destroy the country and Zora said the calamity would unless one of the beasts took the mark. My money is on Ely becoming the calamity now. Take all of this with a pinch of salt cause this series pisses me off so I forgot most details.

That actually makes sense, as much as it can currently I guess. So a Tokyo Ghoul ending where Ely is about to become a dragon.

There is also a psychic blonde guy who does who knows what, forget his name, def thought he would play a more central role
