Was reading through it again myself just now (you know how it is, "what's this? this sounds familiar?" after a year or two) and am appreciating that the author seems to have applied the trashiness to the original game itself.
Several of the bits of lore mentioned should've been giving an 'are we the baddies?' to players, like with the wyverns, though that may have gone over some of their (the devs) target audience's heads.
Even in the original game the 'bandits violating and shipping the villainess to the enemy country' bit that causes her to wipe out the capital, was on the prince's orders too. Amy may be much closer to the original heroine than the dating sim tried to paint the latter as.
Just thought that was a nice touch to the background.

Yeah, I really did not like the implications from the MC when he said Amy's tears were empty. It felt way too judgemental of the situation. I like your take on it because playing a game and living through it are 2 completely different situations.
Anyway....I continue my read, I have this isekai pretty chill so far.
what kind of fuck ass design was that for a chimney and fireplace? It would still get a lot of smoke inside the room. better to create a traditional fireplace that's set within the wall to allow more funneling of the smoke upwards towards the chimney.
