But given this world is derived from a game with literal two-dimensional characters and writing ostensibly geared toward younger audiences (to say nothing of the original story itself, that this manga is adapted from), having flat, clearly unlikeable villains that we as a reader get exicted over seeing destroyed, is entirely appropriate, I think.
