I laughed at it when we first saw the ak47 but now it's just a little odd. How does he know so much about guns and bullets? Guns aren't even legal in Japan. Only the yak have them. Not even the police do.
I mean, maybe obsessed enthusiasts will have replicas but the author didn't even try to give a cover story for how he knows the shape so well. Didn't he need a ton of blueprints for his plane? But gun is immediate? Did his magic increase like Amy and so he can just sort of imagine it??
I need to stop thinking about it.

Agree with what you wanted to see.

If they wanted to use guns it would have been nice to occasionally see Allen run into issues or get hurt because he over depends on them. Such as running out of ammo or realizing carrying that much weight is tough and slows him down.

As they are now it's an I win button.
