I mean after a carpet bombing like that there will always be some survivors.... a few at least. But the physiological effect of a castle being reduced to a pile of rock, splintered wood and rotting bodies in one attack sends quite the message.

Sometimes comic version censored the brutality of the novel version by toning down the gore and such... I knew some titles that did it.

Given that the mangaka knows his release schedule (these decimal chapters and slow roll are part of the publisher's plan, not the translator's), they are making a serious mistake letting this drag this long. At the very least, they should be avoiding releases like this will all tension and zero plot progression. This would be fine with a faster production, but not in this environment.
