I remember having such a vivid image of the woods in between in my head while reading this as a kid and even in this relatively simple black and white rendition, it captures the eerie, dreamy energy perfectly.

Oh, The Wood Between Worlds was such a magical place to imagine upon first reading about it. It gave me a feeling no other fantasy location has ever given me before.
And it's nothing that complex nor flashy, but it's simple in a very mysterious way that makes you both curious and wary.
Like "I want to know more but I probably shouldn't". But, well, I felt like that many times while reading these books. xD
