Husband get's better soon, other prince is the overall villain of this part of the story, and yes, a villain to his brother too, i think the brother was behind the attempt at marriage because if they refused, he would have a excuse to kill more people, he's a really vile person, oh and it was not the ml who killed the king of yunissa or whatever it was, it was the brother, but the ml more or less get's the blame (provided i'm not getting my stories mixed up.
As for why the husband treats her so badly, it's because him and the actual princess DESPISE each other, as in if she actually married him she'd try to be just as brutal kind of hate, he already is starting to suspect she's not the princess i think and thus starts treating her better.
