Not to be a total nerd about CITY, but Ch 182 reveals that Granny was Student Council President when Hotaka was VP. The two of them pushed back against each other to "restore the school to its former glory". Its also implied that Hotaka had the hots for Granny in high school but decided to serve the Tanabe family instead
