The guy’s memories bring the entire city, as well as a representation of the girl, back for a few moments before the hill falls into the ocean. Then the girl actually shows up. You’ll notice the first time, the (memory-conjured) girl looks exactly as she did eight years ago, but at the end she (real version) looks quite different

this was such an introspective read. thank you sm for the translation. i love how despite not being that social of a person everyone remembered him and and was happy to he had returned. this manga has kinda changed my perception on the concept of memory and how it lives within us while simultaneously surrounding us
