idk i was hoping this series was gonna pick up soon but its corny as hell that the captain is doing all this. Doesnt make it interesting

I really like that chapter, exactly because the detective doesn't let the hero do whatever he wants. It's been put well into perspective

Beautifully done. I don't really see the pacing issues, since I'm reading this well after these chapters were released, but the story's pretty good.
