I can see someone being suprised u can make something yourself but theres a big difference in the sheer excitement and wonder they would express. Their comments would be more like "omg u can make these at home?" Or "they tast just liek real thing" or " i am so happy, i thought when we came to this world i would never have these again!" This series is generic but it's comfortable in its own genericness, it's not trying to be anything more. Like the plain potato chips in the chapter, it exists just to be consumed without thought.
